Hello everyone! I just wanted to post another handmade card I received for my birthday (a little late, but better late than never). This one was made by my sister. She likes rubber stamping. She is good with colour. I framed a couple of her watercolour paintings that she made in highschool. I used to have them hanging in my old house but, alas, I have zero paintings up in my new one. (Must work on that, I s'pose!)
I don't always have the patience to wait for things to dry, so sometimes stamping is frustrating to me. She, on the other hand, not only stamped this image but also coloured it with watercolours.
I think these colours are very warm and inviting. In fact, they match the walls in my house! My sister embossed over the flower and then cut it out by hand.
Just to be different, she didn't use an embossing glue. She just wet the image again with a little water, put on the power and heat set it. It caused a slight amount of uneven coverage but you have to really be inspecting the flower up to your face to find it (or carefully testing it with your fingers).
The blending of the paint also helps to "hide" the coverage of the powder, so I think it turned out just fine! You like?
